The Super-Sprint Novice Triathlon is ideal for anyone wanting to try the sport of triathlon for the first time. The event will start with a 300m sea swim, followed by a 10km cycle on a closed-roads and finishing with a 2.5km run.

Anyone who wants to try a triathlon for the first time. No experience required however you must be able to swim at least 300m unaided.

The Swim

The 300m swim routes will start from the Lifeguard's Beach and follow a clockwise route. The course will be designed with the current to ensure an easy swim for novices.


The Bike

The bike route will be on a closed-roads. The route heads west along Eastbourne seafront and climbs to the turn point at Beachy Head before returning downhill back to the Western Lawms.


The Run

The run will be on an out-and-back route, initially on tarmac and then onto a garvel path. There is a very slight gradient heading up to the turn point.
