Cancelling your entry or withdrawing from the race
We understand that your circumstances can and do change after you have entered a race. Ironbourne Events Limited has a flexible policy when receiving requests to withdraw from a race, but for clarity, here is our policy for withdrawals:
If you wish to withdraw from the event and we are notified up to 21 days before the date of the race, we are happy to offer you the opportunity to:
If you wish to withdraw from the event and we are notified between 21 days and 7 days before the date of the race, we are happy to offer you the opportunity to:
If you wish to withdraw from the event less than 7 days before the date of the race, we reserve the right to charge a £10 transfer fee - but this is a concession and not automatically given.
No transfers can be offered within 48 hours of the event.
We believe that our transfer policy is one of the most generous amongst race organisers and, for that reason, we do not offer refunds of race entry fees.
If the race is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will do our utmost to be reasonable. Last minute postponements, for instance, due to weather, are beyond our control.
On race day, if the weather is severe or forecast to become severe during the duration of the event, the race format may change, the race may be postponed or the event may be cancelled.
If the race is cancelled because of circumstances beyond our control, including bad weather, refunds cannot be offered. If possible, the race will be postponed to a later date. However, if postponing the race is not possible, we will offer a transfer to next year's race at a discounted price - the level of discount will be proportionate and linked to the race costs incurred.
In all instances we will try to be as fair as possible.
